Video Summary
A labor and delivery anesthesia evaluation was performed for Jane Andrews, born April 22, 1997. She reported no allergies, no current medications, childhood asthma resolved, occasional migraines that have decreased during pregnancy, prior skin cancer and appendix surgery, and no anesthesia complications. She has TMJ but no major dental, neck, heart, kidney, liver, or neurologic issues. She plans to have a labor epidural. The clinician explained the epidural procedure, benefits, risks, and consent, including infection, nerve irritation, vessel placement, allergic reaction, and a rare severe headache. Her exam and heart/lung assessment were normal.
