Greetings. Thank you first and foremost for participating in this educational program. If you're like I have been in the past you may be thinking oh boy here comes another educational module, or I can't believe it's that time of the year again to do these things. However, I want you to know that this may be one of the most important modules that you have come across for both yourself and for your colleagues. As you see, unfortunately substance use disorder in our profession is a risk factor from the time we are our RNA is all the way through our CRNA careers. But fortunately for you and for me and for our families and for the patients that we serve the ANA recognizes this risk factor and is dedicated countless personnel hours time resources to put policies in place to help us should we need it. So as you work through the following program, please know that the information and the resources shared were derived directly from the experiences of those that have come before us and have suffered from a substance use disorder or impairment at work. Keep also in mind that we're all in this together. We're committed to helping you anytime should you or a colleague needed. So thank you for all that you do. Remember, this is a very fast paced profession, and it's important not only to take care of yourselves, but also your colleagues. Thank you.
