The need for a balanced approach to clinical decision-making, incorporating both rational and experiential thinking.

Understanding how rational and experiential thinking is incorporated in CRNAs’ decision-making processes is vital for SRNA education and clinical practice. However, this knowledge is rarely utilized in SRNA education and clinical practice.

CRNAs and educators have a better understanding of the process, ability, and impact of educational background, experience, and cognitive preference on decision-making to assist CRNAs in developing, refining, and evaluating decision-making processes.
