This article shows the significant and unique anesthetic challenges in managing patients with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC), a rare neurodevelopmental disorder. 

Learning Outcome(s):

1. Understand the anesthesia-related challenges and risks associated with managing pediatric patients diagnosed with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood (AHC), particularly regarding autonomic dysfunction, potential for cardiac arrhythmias, and sudden cardiac arrest during procedures.
2. Identify specific anesthetic management strategies to mitigate complications such as seizures, apnea, and potential cardiac arrhythmias in patients with AHC, with emphasis on the role of genetic factors and perioperative triggers.
