Build foundational knowledge of artificial intelligence and how AI-supported tools function in healthcare and perioperative practice. This course helps CRNAs and RRNAs understand predictive models, interpret AI-generated outputs, recognize limitations such as bias and uncertainty, and critically evaluate AI tools to support safe, informed, and responsible clinical decision-making.

Define core artificial intelligence terminology and describe how clinical AI systems are trained, validated, and implemented in perioperative care.
Interpret AI model outputs using performance metrics and identify potential bias, limitations, and errors.
Apply a structured approach to critically appraise AI recommendations before incorporating them into clinical workflow.
