Are your patients experiencing negative outcomes because of your intraoperative management (or mismanagement) of their hemodynamics? Do you know? Are you addressing both pressure AND flow? Does the blood pressure look better after you give vasopressors, but your patients suffer from acute kidney injury, myocardial injury, or 30-day mortality? Much has changed in the literature regarding intraoperative fluidand hemodynamic management. Intraoperative hypotension must be minimized with fluid optimization and refined hemodynamic control to improve patient outcomes. This presentation will provide data on patient outcomes and strategies for improved intraoperative hemodynamic management.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Learners will be able to describe the correlation between the incidence of intraoperative hypotension and negative patient outcomes.
  2. Learners will be able to identify and incorporate evidenced based hemodynamic strategies to prevent and manage intraoperativehypotension within the operating room.
