This course provides a comprehensive review of the anatomic and physiologic changes that occur during pregnancy, with a focus on implications for anesthesia care. Learners will explore hormonal, cardiovascular, respiratory, hematologic, renal, gastrointestinal, and neurologic adaptations, along with their impact on pharmacologic management and patient safety. Special attention is given to airway considerations, cardiovascular hemodynamics, coagulation changes, and the challenges of neuraxial anesthesia. Designed for CRNAs and other anesthesia providers, this course equips participants with the critical knowledge needed to optimize care for parturients across all stages of pregnancy.
