Limited literature existed beyond pharmaceutical sponsorship utilizing remimazolam in procedural settings and consist of fixed dosing based on the American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status score (ASA-PS).  Increasing patient acuity in outpatient setting demands utilizing drugs in which minimize hemodynamic and respiratory impact. Conventional sedative medications create drawbacks in clinical practices that impact patient outcomes, length of recovery, and the efficiency of procedural workflows, leading to potential increase in costs and resource utilization.

Examine real-world utilization of remimazolam in diverse procedural and patient populations to support the development of a nurse sedation protocol with remimazolam and fentanyl utilizing a non-ASA-PS dosing strategy.

Learning Outcomes:
  1. Identify factors that influence the time it takes for patients to become alert after sedation with Remimazolam.

  1. Define breakpoints in dose-response for appropriate dosing strategies by ASA-PS
